Default Car insurance rebate in the DR.
After totaling my car and waiting for the money I was told that once I get the check my insurance will no longer exist. I asked if I was entitled to a rebate on the unused 6 months of my full year? I paid my policy in full, for one year. I believe in the states they do give you a rebate for the unused months. thanks Phil

To make this a little more clear........ Can my insurance company in the DR withhold 6 months unused premium?

I would say, in the DR, be grateful and happy that the insurance pays and gives you the check... forget about the 6 months premiums
