Default In need of a child custody lawyer "English speaking"

I'm looking for a english speaking lawyer to file for child custody. My son was born and live in DR with is mom. I'm a american citizen living in the states. She lives with her mom, not working and not able to take care of him financially. I pay for everything from child birth to present needs. My son is 11months now and not once his mom had to go to the store to purchase diapers for him, because i send her everything, clothes, diapers and all is needs. My son recieved his american passport at 4months. I once look for the passport and could not find it. I ask her where is the passport and she hide it from me. I ask her to let me see his american passport and she would not give it to me. Another time she prevented me from seeing my son. Now, 2 days ago I mention to her that i want to come and get my son so my family here in the states can meet him. Her answer was "I will think about it".
I'm not trying to take away my son from his mother, but i would like to have court documents and rights on visitation and other needs. I do not want my son to ever leave the DR without my permission. My son's mother always tells me she does not like dominican man and is always meeting foreign man from off the internet sites. So for that reason, I want to know when my son leaves the DR and where he is going. So, if anyone knows of a good lawyer, please pass on some contact info. I search the forum but was unsure if Mr. Guzman handles child custody case. Thanks

Layers are lawyers. They will look at your case.

The child cannot ever leave the DR with just one parent unless there is a certified letter from the other parent that give approval to the trip, and names Airline, Travel Date, and Destination. This document has to be stamped by a Notary.

Thanks HB for your reply. That is another problem. She have a child from another person and I've seen her have some one else sign that agreement, plus got a notary to stamp it for her son to leave to Boston with her mom. I asked her why she did that and her answer was that the boy's dad would have never sign the document or he would have given her a hard time, so that was the reason why she had some one forge it. This is the reason why I want us to go to court and have some kind of legal agreement. I don't want to take any chance with this person. I'm a first time dad and don't know what my rights are in DR. So I'm tryin to go about this the right way and at the same time not to let this person drives me crazy.

A Court may authorize a parent to leave the country with his or her child even without the consent of the other parent.

A Court may also award you custody of the child if it is felt that is in his best interest.

As for English-speaking lawyers, go to Guzman Ariza Law Firm in the Dominican Republic
