Question health care, insurance benefit requirements

Hey all,

Just wondering as an employer in the Dominican Republic what my basic requirements are as far as health care, life insurance?
Mostly just those two I need some help on, also, do the requirements differ if I hire a foreign national?

Thank you for your help and time.

As an employer, it's mandatory that you register all your employees, Dominicans or foreigners, in the Dominican Social Security system established by Law No. 87-01. The system provides insurance for health and labor risks and an incapacity/retirement fund, to be funded by salary-based contributions to be made by both employee and employer.

For details on payments, etc. go to Tesorerķa de la Seguridad Social | T S S

Legally, all employees must be registered.
