right Rubio,
to do transportation in turism you need the used vehicle to be licensed and insured as a vehicle of turism.
that applies for all transportation other than a private ride in a private car.
it is the same for condos/hotels/my sportfishing/any kind of excursion aso. and that plate/sticker only allows you to transfer your own clients, you can not run taxirides as a side business.
to get that sticker of course first of all that condo rental/hotel/ aso needs to be a legally registered and tax paying company, like you did one yourself a short while ago.

That is just a stupid VERY STUPID requirement. Can you imagine in North America and partially in Europe all the complimentary shuttles you see at the airports from hotels/car rental companies/parking lots/etc would have to actually get a tourism permit in order to transport clients to their premises? It's nonsense.

For me, as an operator of whatever business, it is my almighty right to have my customers picked up and transported to/from me by whatever means I AND the customer decide upon and feel comfortable using. In NA the traveler has an option to use the complimentary shuttle operated by the hotel/rental car company or use a cab. If the DR praises itself so much on tourism, it should have the same way of doing business.

P.S. In most NA and European cities, there are also monopolistic cabbie syndicates having exclusive rights to airport transportation, and the shuttles still operate freely.

It's negotiable. Transport sindicato is pretty tough however. It is after all their bread and butter and a taxi shield on the N. Coast is now over RD$500K i hear. Fair or not, here we are.

can't beat them, join them, include you taxi in the sindicato.

you pay their fee, that is usually based on the trip or route.
