Default Jesus Garcia Tallaj--what next?

As most DR1 readers know by now, JGT was the lawyer for the estate of Thomas Philipp, and betrayed my family's trust in many ways. I suspected that JGT wrote several postings to dr1 while drunk, since his English varied from excellent to nonsense. I only hope his tragic vehicular homicide will be a wake up call for him to turn his life around and make amends to all those whose lives he has ruined.
I am posting here because the information on his drunken accident has been reduced to a debate over helmets in the North Coast thread. I would like to know, Dr. Guzman, what effect this will have on his ability to practice law, and what legal punishment will he face?

Can DUI be established by evidence?
Will he be indicted at all?
Who caused the accident?
Was the lawyer put in prison as is the norm when someone is invoved in a fatal accident?
If so, is he still in jail or was he set free on bail?

Many people get away with murder....

Default Getting away with murder

Thanks, Don. Silly me for forgetting that on May 16 it will be 20 years since my uncle's murder in Sosua. It took me 10 years just to get the court to open the case. If his murderers are still alive, they are still out there, with the blessing of some former government officials.

Penultimate paragraph here:
Puerto Plata Digital

The 6 is the total number of fatalities in the separate events in the article, not just JGT's accicent alone.

Dear Fabio, both Donp and I have addressed important questions to you. As the legal advisor on DR1, I believe you have a responsibility to answer.

Um, Fabio is not a paid employee of DR1, he contributes pro bono.

I don't believe he has the responsibility to answer.

The questions sound more like they should be directed at a prosecutor.
