I have done some good business with James at: Offshore Asset Protection and I know for a fact that he will introduce you to two or three online merchant accounts that will process credit card transactions.

One of them is in a non-MLAT (no mutual legal assistance treaty with the Police state to the north) country and so the chances of your account being frozen is even less with a merchant account domiciled in that sort of country.

Hope this helps, David

Dave,
in which way are you related to that James?
and the process of credit card payments throu merchant accounts on a selling website we discussed here is different to having a simple offshore account.
to just open a simple offshore account can be done by everybody in many countries, often just by using the internet, no personal presence there needed.
btw,
every local dominican bank offers offshore accounts for their customers money wires from the outside, i have myself two of them with the dominican BHD bank, one in Miami/Fl for the US$ currency and the other one in Sabadell/Spain for the Euros.

what we asked for here been a website implemented solution to accept customers credit cards from inside and outside the dominican republic on a website shop, and that collected money of course should be credited on our Dominican Bank accounts in our Dominican Company's names, of course staying legal and that way anyways passing our tax system.
Mike

I recently asked a question regarding online processing, and they redirected me to this link.

"The Hun", which CC processing system did you end up using?

I currently have a brick and mortar store in the US that sells all types of products (from electronics to clothing to jewelry to crafts), Our products range from USD $30-$2000+. We have a terminal associated to our US-based merchant account with a bank. We wanted to do something online in the US, but with so many online stores we decided not to.

Since I've been to Santiago many times and I have made good contacts there, I thought that our business would be successful if we posted a site where we could sell most our products online.

We asked our bank, but they don't offer CC transactions (online or otherwise) from institutions outside of the US, so that's out of the question.

Robert, I'm considering your suggestion of doing everything through AvisorTech. I did notice that you wrote that "If your serious about processing, then you need to do it out of the USA.". They don't work from the US, so what do you mean by that?

Thanks again for all the info.
