Default Question about selling bike

Just wondering, what paperwork do we need to sell it to someone else?

I think a bike is a bicycle not a motorbike.

Well could be ambiguous but hopefully the OP will come back and confirm.

From his earlier posts I assumed he meant 'motorcycle'....
'Bike' has other meanings, too.....

The process for selling a motorcycle or motorbike or scooter is the same as a car or truck.

For a bicycle, you give the buyer the bike, he hands you the cash, you hand him a handwritten bill of sale. Done.

Default I'm buying it

and it is a scooter. They have not yet received their final paperwork from the dealer they bought at, so they are wondering if I go with them can the paperwork be changed then and there.
What say you?

For the proper 'traspaso' procedure you need the original 'matricula'. A lawyer then draws up an 'acta de venta' and may offer to do the change of ownership for you.

I for one would not buy the 'pasola' without its paper.
All right, for 50 % down, maybe...

Default Thanks

for the info. They will go to the dealer get the paperwork and see a lawyer next week. I was just talking to them and they were glad for the info you supplied as they want to sell it legally and I want to buy it legally with all paperwork.
Again, thanks!
