Article 355 of the Criminal Code:

Fabio, maybe you can explain - it seems that the clause is for minor women as it says "una joven menor de 18". Would that mean women taking advantage of boys is not covered? Just curious.

Mr Guzman, has article 144 of the Civil Code been modified or depricated recently?
In any case Art. 356 of the Criminal Code provides a means of avoiding the penalties imposed by art. 355. Art 356 is directly applicable to the situation described by the OP provided that the version of article 144 of the Civil Code I posted is the most current version.
If the OP marries the 16 year old young lady with her and her parents consent can Art. 355 of the Criminal Code still be applied? Please advise.

Dr Guzman,
The law you cite mentions the term 'extrajere de su casa...' - that seems almost like a forced abduction against the will of the parents.
What -if any- would be the effect of a written + notarized permit of/agreement with the relationship between the daughter and the adult by the parent who has the sole guarda?
Thank you.

Gray,
In our haste to pass our morals upon you, I forgot to mention that when a man's morals are pressed upon you in prison, don't take any offense to that. You, after all, have no right to question a horny prisoner's morals, now, do you?

NotLurking, Art. 144 of the Civil has been implicitly amended by Article 56-5 of Law #659 of 1944 in the sense that a Judge can waive the age limit. Keep in mind, however, that this provision (Art. 144) is established for marriage purposes only.
Graywolf, you are right about the meaning of the first part of Art. 355; however, the second part does say:
Without referring to abduction.
