My Dominican husband had to have a blood test before he was given his visa to live/work in USA, first it was a temporary green card. Then before he was given his permanent green card he had to have another blood test in NY. They're looking for diseases, not DNA.

thanks for your replies, but i have allready paid hundreds of dollars to the doctors specified by the consular for health exams prior to visa approval and they had blood work done then. the consular told my fiance all results were good, but needed to know if the 2 boys are really hers. sounds like dna to me, or just a way to get more money. i just hope i am not paying 6-8 hundred more dollars for this when they allready have blood from all of them
