We moved in a year ago. At that time it was enough to present a letter from the immigration which stated we did apply for residency and they received our application among with the medical exam and the required fees.
I think the law is still the same. You just have to ask your lawyer or the clerk at the immigration for this letter, they won't offer it to you. Make sure it's stamped.
