Default Aid for Flood Victims

Hi folks, checking the CNN news site is quite grim reading.
It seems like the death toll will reach over 1000, with children losing their parents and vice versa, apart from losing their homes.

Is there a charity organisation like the Red Cross in DR which is helping out?
Apart from the obvious human tragedy, there is a pressing need to prevent outbreaks of disease stemming from lack of medical supplies and clean water.

Is there a genuine web site to which people can be directed to?

Richard.
