Shipping a small box from Miami to the DR...

I know it's been covered before, but I didn't find a definitive answer so thought Id start a new thread on the subject for my specific question.

Does anyone know of a reputable shipper that will send a box from Miami (Im actually in Ft. Lauderdale) to the DR - North Coast in particular? If you use DHL or Fedex do they require a cusoms declaration? How is customs handled? I remember in an older thread someone mentioning a company that ships a box for $75, customs included that is considered "household goods" or something like that.

Any help would be appreciated!

Depending on size & weight of box, have a word with BusinessMail who are based in Miami. PRESENT Tel. No on Miami is 305=593-5383.
If you are here in the DR you could ring Santiago 809-261-0625, Santo Domingo 809-683-1919 or Puerto Plata 809-970-0942. With luck, they will handle the customs declaration for you once you tell them what is in it AND handle everything through to their office here in DR for you to then go collect! ~ Grahame
