I suggest it's better you discuss with the lawyer since am 21 years old of age, things can easiely work out between you and the lawyer.
You can also verify from the bank confirm the existence of the funds with their bank, don't call the bank without me given you the deposit code & Account number, they will not open up to you if you don't mention the codes.
