Mine has been close to perfect all day today and I've been using the net pretty heavily the entire day.

At least there is enough bandwidth to make phone calls...this week .

There was a two week period whereby the opposite was true, there was enough bandwidth to access web pages but not phone calls ( vonage )

At this moment I can only access MSN, Yahoo and DR1....could be the government !

And we all know which one that might be.

I am still having a problem connecting to websites, especially Yahoo and some municipal ones in Florida even though my Vonage speed test shows I'm operating at 1.3Mb down. Someone was talking about using a proxy server or something - how is that done?

I changed the settings in the router to those DNS settings and changed to "Static" IP.....and changed my MTU to 1492 (whatever that is??!). I then went to each computer and removed any setting that were in the tcp/ip settings and checked the automatic boxes........

Then I reset the router and the modem and the computers and retarted them.

Did you say, "reset"?
Wouldn't that put the default settings back in and wipe out the other settings you mentioned above?
