Internationally, the DOP is not really a traded currency. The dollar goes up and down against the major world currencies, the euro, the yen, the yuan.

Just remember that it is only pictures of dead presidents and the strength of any nation's currency depends on what the world community thinks of the nation... on issues like corruption, freedom of trade, and good records in paying back debts.

Right now the canadian is at 95 in the bank they will exchange it at 93. Since the economy is much better than in the US, they are saying that it will be $1 for $1 in a few months, probably not for that long , just like a year ago when it went over, to a $1.10 .... But in DR, they still had the US exchange at 3 pesos more. I have a bunch of money to exchange before my trip, so please let me know what it is or if there a thread that shows canadian dollar. Thank you
