Cabana vs. Cabana Turistica vs. Apart Hotel
I always thought these were all basically the same, as I see all three used on the various "Cabanas" along the highways and byways of the DR. Recently a Dominican friend of mine said they were all different, for example, Cabanas Turisticas and Apart Hotels, while having the short-term rates are geared more to longer-term stays (more than 3 hours anyway) and some allow you to lock your belongings (issue keys?).
Is there actually any difference between them?
