for 995, it sounds good right? Then again I live in the US, and 40-50 bucks doesn't get you premium. Im used to paying 5,874.00 (obviously converted) here for tv internet and phone :P

there is something else i have to add to this

The tv will need a box...so the first one is included in the price $995 monthly
but if you want more than 1 tv then it will be $295 pesos monthly for each tv extra you want to add..

Another thing....lets say you have 5 tvs in your house and want the 5 of them to have the service....it only allow u to have 3 diff channels simultaneously...
what it means is if you have the 5 tvs on at the same time you can have only 3 channels so 2 tvs will be able to watch same channel, not 5 different channels..

Any idea whether Claro TV would be available on the North Coast area any time soon? Does it work via the DSL line or special cables have to be installed first?

We lined up for 1 &1/2 hours Today as we were told Yesterday by the girl at Codetel, that all was available in Puerto Plata. Only to find out they offer 29 channels only. No idea what they are. They could not even tell us how it works. ie DSL, Antenna, Dish. They have absolutely no idea. Would really love to know as we are moving shortly.

ok i will explain one more time...........

Claro Tv..............only plan offered everywhere is Basic Plan which offer 29 channels
it doesnt need a phone line since the signal is satelital
they install a box on the tv which receive the signal

Superior and Advanced Plans

only offered in Santo Domingo, Santiago for now
you need a phone line for it cus the tecnology they use is IP related

hope it is clear
