Talking Santiago Cabana are the best

The cabanas in Santo Domingo while being very attractive still lack all the amenities the ones in Santiago have to offer.

Notice there were no good bed covers, the ones in Santiago have bed sheets, a toiletery kit with condoms, soap, shampoo, comb, personal face towel etc etc.

Also in Santiago you get normal and deluxe (jacuzzi) and super delux (presedential type). The presidential type usually has two huge TV's, kitchennet, big jacuzzi, bedroom, living room with another TV, large sofas, lazy couches, king size bed, mahogany furniture, paintings etc.

I have spent some nights in these cabanas (not talking anymore) and never been disappointed. The one night I did spend in the cabana in SDQ was expensive and certainly not very comfortable.

The sheets were washed without any softner and it was like sleeping on sand paper.

I guess that's why he needs so many moderators. Busy, busy, busy.

During my days I could never afford one of those things. I used to go to chinese hotels. One bed, a bucket of water and a couple of towels . Very crude.

Instead of the high-priced tours of the Colonial City, maybe Rob and dr1 should consider a Cabana tour.

Default Cabanas are great getaway lovenests

They are great places to stay overnight in. We just to go to the Cabanas near San Isidro, La Oficina is one of my favorites, recommended by my cousin in law. We usually take a taxi and then call one the next morning to pick us up. They are great places to stay especially since we usually bunk up with family members while in Santo Domingo.

Word of advice though... they are super COLD, we once asked for an extra sheet, and then I still usually end up sleeping in my clothes.

Food, not so hot, only have fried rice, and it was way too salty, Presidente is super cold and usually ask for a couple bottles of water or bring our own.

A lot of times there are different sets of lights, and you can light the room up all red.

THe jacuzzi's are great if you get one that actually works and has hot water. That's the other advantage of staying at these places, their usually have hot water unlike other cheap hotel/motels in that side of the city.

I could recommend you try them, it's always really exciting the first time, I remember my husband saying to the guy through the box ummm how does this all work?

If you want to stay the night you just tell them and they add many 100 - 150 pesos to the price. And you are usually asked to be out by 10 am.

Default Taj Majal

Is on san Isidro after Charlie, before the zona franca. There is a whole row of em.

BTW, Pib, I bet if amber was one of the 13 people entering a cabana, you wouldn't have even warranted a second glance;-) Especially if 6 of the other people were related to her;-)

Default Japanese Porn Stars

BTW, you do all realize that it is normal procedure for the rooms in the cabanas to be video taped, right? wasn't there a story a while back where a woman was killed in a cabana? the police just asked the management for the tape and they had enough eveidence to find the guy.

Rumor has it, they sell the tapes to Japanese porn companies. I always knew I'd be a start some day;-)

That sounds like a winner.
Maybe DR1 can get a few sponsors
like Presidente, Trojan, and Serta
involved. lol
