Wow that is lovely...
...Rob did you take those pictures?
-
Yep and that's as much as I'm going to tell you...

Wow much better than I imagined. I always thought of a cabana as a little dark room with hardly more than a bed.

Great photos!!
This looks like a very nice cabana judging from the pictures. I have been in 2 different ones on the outskirts of Santo Domingo that were nowhere near this nice. Sure would like to have a list of the better ones with locations just so I will know for future reference and possible use....
The food was great at these older places but furnishings, etc. can't compare.

Very informative, Robert.
In Tokyo they have them. They are called "robu hoteru" (love hotel) and since people live in as close quarters as in the DR, they are very popular. Young people use them for privacy... Businessmen use them for nooners.

Grande Pollo en Boca Chica
Where is this one?
I might just rent a car for this one time.

They weren't that fancy back in my university days
Not that I went to any... er, my friends told me... yeah, that's it. My friends told me.

There are a ton of em on San isidro past Charlie but before the zona franca. I live in the same area. It is pretty amazing how many are on this little stretch of road.
They can be pretty cool when your plane lands at 5:30 and you just need to crash for a few hours.
There is nothing like watching REALLY bad porn on a 60" TV;-)
BTW, the Taj Majal is on San Isidro as well. They are all lit up like old cheesey vegas hotels.
