My opinion and I don't give a darn what anyone thinks. I don't believe Sanki Jose or whatever the sock puppet name is, is for real. He wouldn't be working in a tourist resort with college education for low pay knowing that type of work has a label to most Dominicans. Sex is always good but recognize your partner for what they are. Most men that work in the tourist areas are sankies, and the women cueros. I can go to any bar, restaurant in Boca Chica for example and pay money for almost anyone I want, the waitress, bartender, etc, and I would have at least an 80percent success rate. They get paid in one way or another for sex by willing and horny, N.Americans and Europeans, whether by cash, gifts, western union back in your home country, etc. Just be cautious, have fun, but don't believe all the words of love from either a man or a woman cuero. It is an easy way for them to make good money and to keep tourists happy by offering up their goods and when you go, they will have others and tell the same stories to them and want you to send money Western Union for one reason or another.

In my opinion, what gets people riled is not the fact that women use the sankies for their carnal pleasures, it is when they believe they have someone that is totally different from all the rest and fall for the lines. But in reality, I would say a large percentage of those who work around tourist areas: Sosua, Boca Chica, Puerto Plata, etc rely on selling themselves and telling lies to gullible individuals for monetary gain. It is much easier to just pay for the booty banging because it spares feelings and both parties know where they stand. If someone wants to meet average Dominicans which represent the majority of the country, get your butts far from the AI prisons and go to Santo Domingo, Santiago, etc and you will be able to tell the difference. I trust a tourist worker about as far as I can throw them, most are a bunch of lying scum where there own countrymen don't have much respect for them. To me and to many tourists they are good in the sack and I treat them differently than I would with normal dominicans. Just pay for the booty call, though the male sankie will probably bang you but may want you to buy gifts, work on winning you over,etc. I give the Sankies props though, I can't imagine how an attractive dominican can lower themself to bang some of the most fat, old, and just ugly men and women tourists, for money or the thoughts of future financial gain. Most dominicana cueros don't give it up for free so I pay when I must but I usually hang in Santo Domingo and pick up amateurs "normal dominicanas" for carnal pleasure, a few drinks/talk/some dancing and will get offended if you offer them money, learned that many times the hard way. So just leave the fantasy in your mind when you return back to the US or Europe, etc.

Thanks for the post dale7. The reason that I enjoy you posts is because you say it like it is. You use them, you pay them and you don't get attatched. You don't come here saying " I fell in love with a sankie, I supported my sankie, I gave my sankie all he/she wanted, I married my sankie, I took my sankie to my country and then my sankie left me and took all my money". I do have a problem about using them, but as I always say, to each their own. I do not see the need of using sankies, but that's me. That does not mean that I can not enjoy or read your posts. I have my opinions just as everybody have theirs.

PS: How come you are not posting as often as you used to?

the point being is that women come to this board and sometimes ask for it. It is the same question over and over again. If 99.9 out of 100 cases involving thes guys are no good, why do you hold on to that small % and think everything will be ok? as you stated, there are buyers and sellers...just dont come to the board crying when you fall for one of these guys who the dominicans from the low social scale will not even associate themselves with

cmedina and escott - did you know that this woman and BTW - it is Lotusflower not flowergirl is an educated Dominican woman who is in the process of moving to Canada- I somehow do not think she will "come to the board crying when you fall for one of these guys....
I think maybe a little research for old time posters is good advise too so they don't jump the gun and assume things about people without even knowing who they are !!!

are you her advocate? and what did you set straight?

I stick to what i said and if she wants to avoid any headaches, she may want to follow the advice. If you do not want to hear what other people have to say about something, then don't post. I am not here to agree with what everyone posts. As far as me calling her flowergirl, it was a way of easing the tension with this very sensitive and neverending subject. If she really has an issue with what i said, why don't you let her express it.

No I am not her advocate, I have just been reading her posts and getting the record straight meant that she is a Dominican living in the DR.
I was just letting you know that she is not Canadian or European, she is Dominican with a Canadian boyfriend as I thought by your post that you were thinking she was a non-resident of the DR who would be a target for a sankie.

Sorry that I upset you, I didn't mean it in any derogatory manner. And that is why I said I didn't want to get in the middle of it - I have no input in this subject matter - I was just pointing out her country of origin and nationality and we all know that educated Dominicans do not hang out with sankies!!!

I agree with Miguel in that I do not feel the need to pay for services but I do feel that everyone should have the right to choose without judgements passed on them. My standard answer to the sankie's advances was "Do I look so ugly or desperate to have sex that I need to pay someone for it?"
The "sankie" posts are interesting to me because they bring up so many social issues. Obviously many other people like them too since there has been 1,701 views to this sankie post alone. The sankie posts always have the highest number of people reading them. Too bad we could not get a real resident sankie to become a regular poster on DR1. Did anyone else here ever try to analize why we are fasinated with the subject? I think it is because it is a taboo subject and kinda dirty but secretive.

You are right, I guess that I will have to stop my computer profession and become a sankie. It seems that they are, wheather ugly or not, bad dressers or not, having the most fun.

Anybody interested in starting " How to become a sankie" or " Trainning for Sankiesm "?. Could be a non-profit organization.

Most people coming here for vacation to the resorts do not have any idea what a sanky is. They've heard of Gigalos from the movies but never hears of a Sanky. To them its only a man from another country thats paying attention to them. Its fun and exciting. I've been there. Sometimes it takes a while to realize that this person does it with all the tourists and sometimes it just doesn't matter. If you've only got a week and your on vacation. Ita all fun.

But if it lasts longer, most women can understand after a while that its a gigalo/sanky and they let it go.

Me I was a little slow. I met a tennis pro at a resort in Punta Cana and he was nice. We cicn't do any more than talk and kiss a little. But he invited me back to visit Santo Domingo and he said he'd pay for everything. I figured I'd take him up on the deal, it was a chance to see another country in real life. I was prepared cause I learned not to trust people. I made sure I had enough money to pay for the hotel and all incase he was a s**t. I came and he didn't show up at the airport(his friend had a motorcycle wreck and he has to work his shfts and he had no money to pay for me cause he had to pay for his friends hospital stay, yea right!)

When he finally showed up at my hotel all smiles and acting like it was nothing. I kicked him out. I told him I wasn't paying for a giglo..didn't know the sanky word then. I even took a picture of him calling the taxi to leave. He told me that when I understood that he was the only one for me and when I apologised to him he would come back! I laughed at him too hard!

But really I am very grateful to him. If it wasn't for him I for sure would have never discovered this country and ended up moving here to live. He may be a nasty human but I will always be thankful to him for being that way.

Funny thing is I saw him about 1 month ago walking down El Conde with a larger white girl. He saw me and gave a little smile but I pretended I didn't see him.
