There is no level playing field; it is the strong vs., the weak. No matter how much money you have you are stronger than the person who has less. How often do you see a rich man with a dog for a wife? It’s not because he bought his arm bracelet, it’s because she loves him because he is powerful. And because she loves him she will keep herself fit and look as fine as she can for him at all times. She will meet his every need and fulfill his every dream. Why, because she understands she needs a powerful man.

So what does a rich woman do? Who can she marry?
According to this line of thought, are women allowed to be independently wealthy? (we're assuming she made it herself and did not "take it from a man".)
And to further this line of thought: lets say you are a billionaire, and you die, leaving just a daughter. Can you leave your money to her? If you do, who can she marry?

You have a great week end also.
I am glad to hear that you are a Dominican woman and I am glad that you have achieved the vision of you life. However, do not kid yourself. I assume you realized this vision in America. America this great land that was built by Powerful Men. I assume that you have children who were fathered by some powerful man. At least he was powerful enough to produce your offspring’s.
I admire powerful women, but only if they admit that they would be nothing without the Powerful Men who gave them this opportunity.

Nah, I don't think the world has changed that much. I read a lot of US history, and I know that guys like Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson would never have held views as prehistoric as those.

You know Charlie....I got to hand it to you
You're too much. I don't owe what I have to America, but to my father's sweat who came to the DR with nothing and is one of the richest man in that country today. Like him, I am not afraid of work. Only through hard work my dear did I achieve what I have today. so don't make light of that fact please, otherwise we're not going to be friends, very sensitive I am to that subject

She can marry anyone she wants but will probably marry a rich guy and take his money also.

How many women do you know that “made it themselves” somewhere there was a powerful man involved.

Never, I mean never, give money to children, especially girl children, let her hone her womanly skills, keep her body tight and find some powerful man.

Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart are two examples off the top of my head. They made it on their own.
Yeah, Martha has some troubles now, but all in all she's done pretty well for herself.
Chuck, this is really funny stuff. I don't know if you're being serious or not, but its funny to read.

Okay, I’ll admit in this case I was wrong, but only about America. You see even you said that your father (a powerful man) gave you the opportunity to achieve what you are today.
As far as your hard work that is the only way that any one in this world can ever get ahead. I do not begrudge hard work and I feel it should be rewarded for both males and females. I have never said that women are not smarter and do not work as hard as men. The point I am trying to make is that it takes a Powerful Man to step in and take charge when the really important things in life must be decided.
I’m not stupid, everything good in my life was taught to me by a woman. My mom my school teachers (predominately women), my ex-wives, and my 32year old daughter. Still each of them was influenced by a Powerful Male.
I applaud you for your success and hope that we can be friends. After all these are just my opinions (they were not written on tablets and delivered from the mountain) and I am simply searching for the answers to the mystery of life myself.

For it to be a true test, that factor needs to not be a part of the equation. Cynics would say that the only reason these women put up with these conditions is that it gives them some relief from financial pressure, of which this country is under a tremendous amount currently.
What do you think?

Althought you started a moronic thread about chuckuindy and me, I agree 100%, with what you just wrote. Sometimes a person would "put up" with alot of shi* mainly because of thier financial situation.
One of my best friends, Dennis(the nicest person imaginable) is not that great with the ladies and I tell him all the time the following: " here in the US you could not attract a fly even if you were a pile of shi*, but in the DR, you would be looked as a God, some women would drop on your feet, I mean, blue eyes, blond, skinny, gringo, trust me, with the financial problems that DR has, they would drop on your lap like flies". In my opinion, why else would a gringo have 3 and 4 girlfriends in the DR but not even one that would look his way in the US?. Now, do you think that a rich, well-to do dominican woman would look their way if they did not needed their help financially. I am not saying that all poor people would look at a foreigner and see $$ signs but in my humble opinion, a big % does. It takes us back to the sankies, they want to be with you not because one is an Adonis or a Cleopatra, they want to be with us because of what they can get out of us( I am saying "us" because I do not want to talk about one person in particular).

Miguel,
Again you have miss judged my most valuable asset. My charm! Do you think that Tonya loves me for my money? No, she loves me because I am charming, intelligent, and a powerful man. Not to mention those Brad Pitt features that I have. Sure I am more powerful because I have more money than some Dominicans, but it does not make me a better person, it only makes me more powerful.
Who wants those women that fall at you feet? They fall because they are desperate. That not all bad, but it’s not all good. Don’t you think that any of us would love to have the relationship that you and Amber share? Some of us just take different approaches to get there. Remember, always be careful who you step on in you clime upward, they will be there on your descent.
