It takes us back to the sankies, they want to be with you not because one is an Adonis or a Cleopatra, they want to be with us because of what they can get out of us( I am saying "us" because I do not want to talk about one person in particular).

Women are attrected to rich powerful men everywhere on the planet, not just DR. EX: I had a pakistani rich friend in my university days in atlanta. This guy was filthy rich from pakistan. First thing he did was bought a full sized fully loaded BMW. then he picked up the phone and ordered $100,000 plus worth of furniture from sweden. Then he rented a luxurious apartment in a expensive area. This man had money coming out of his a$$. He would spend 100s of dollars on dinners and restaurants like it was pocket change. Now let me tell you this: he was no brad pitt looking at all. he was shorter in height than I was and not a whole lot good looking yet he had girls attracted to him from all over. He would leave one cute model looking girlfriend and another would jump into sack with him right away. He later moved in a coco cola model girl, tall, slim and a face that belonged on magazine cover. She was the best looking girl in college, period. She was madly in love with his, even though she was making good money on her own. This guy had cute girls waiting on him all over atlanta.
Then there was another millionaire old pakistani business man in atlanta. He was short, skinny and ugly with a personality of a pig. yet he was always accompanied by some of the most prettiest women you would find in atlanta. I know some rich doctors who are fat and bald and their wives are hot shots.
So women are attracted to rich men all over the world, not just in 3rd world countries.

I think that everything that Chuck says was absolutely true 100 years ago and for the most part true today. However, I also agree with Forbeca that the world has changed. Women have opportunity to provide for themselves now and that has "confused" things. If a woman earns enough to lead a lavish lifestyle on her own, she dosen't NEED a dominant male figure in her life. She may still want one and choose to have one but she dosen't really need one. The roles are no longer etched in stone and as a result, most relationships go sour because men and women are no longer satisfying each others natural needs. Now, in North America, we have a society where there are more and more dominant women all the time. If a woman wants to be a housewife and attend to the needs of her husband and children, society tells her she is a failure. As a result, the husband, children AND the wife suffer. Then comes the divorce. What a shame.

You said it, my Pakistani ugly, short, funny looking and pot-belly brother, some women are attracted to WHAT THE MEN HAVE and not to WHO THEY ARE. They can be pigs and would be seens as Richard Geres if they had money. Money CAN buy love, or at least lust. You and Charlie are misteken, IMO, because the 2 of you seem to think that the more money a person has, the more powerful that person is. Let me give you an example: Bill Gates is one of the richest person in the world and a wiz man when it comes to business but the guy, IMO, has the personality of a mouse. Now, I know that he is a very powerful man and he can get any woman he pleases but then again, take away his money and I am sure that not even a female that was in prison without seen a man for 50 years would look his way. True, money gives a person power but it does not give the person a personality and charm and some females DO want a man with personality and charm. Worse/best example: Hipolito Mejia.

Here's what John Adams told his daughter on finding a husband, written in 1783:
