Default Not One Post On HIV Testing Prior.....

to going out with one of these Skankies(like 2 ks-better intonation). In reviewing all these countless postings not once have I saw where anyone mentioned "but first, lets go to a lab and see how you test out in the HIV department". People use more care and expend more time in choosing a Hotel in the DR then they exhibit in their concern about whether a person is HIV+ or Negative. This is incredulous. The BS about "I always use condoms" is BS and nothing but BS. And these Lab tests are only valid for the first lady a Skanky encounters-absolutely worthless for the 2nd victim. Appears folks are more concerned about the cheapest airfare, hotels, ect yet a "Life-Changing" event such as turning up HIV+ appears to rate low on the List of Priorities. Out of curiousity-I wonder how many of these ladies who pair up with one of these said people actually have broached the question about a Valid Lab Test and if there isn't one-have they accompanied the person to a Lab for testing before the relationship progresses to the point of no return?? Seen many patients in the final stages of HIV-not a pretty thing. Enlighten me please!!

Wink

We have discussed this subject many times here. It's interesting and scary to read people's views on it. Look for it. There's more than one thread.

And believe it or not some of us only go the sun and sand and see friends. The non sexual kind

Ok I'll post them and then I'm out of here

AIDS Transmission Facts-For the ladies

Why is the HIV rate in Jamaca reported as 1/2 of Dominican Republic?

STDs in DR

That should keep you busy for a while

Men are just as bad as woman. Plenty of guys and girls have unprotected sex when they should know better. Not just in the DR, but globally.

I have a feeling this thread will survive as long as HIV does in the air...

Robert-I find it amazing that some of these relationships have progressed to the"Maybe we will get married" stages and not a word on what the Results of the HIV test were(if they were any). I cannot imagine in this day and age that anyone would even think of marriage without at least knowing if their partners or potential lifemate was Hiv+ or Negative. This is Crazy!!!!

This is called the reality of the world we live in.
Maybe not your reality, but the reality for I guess 90% of the planet.
I'm glad to say that percentage is slowly changing.

Default Testing

I recall that in the mid '90s in Sosua, after the new police captain had cleaned the streets, all working girls had to get an HIV test periodically, upon which they received a badge to wear on them. Sounded like a good system, but unfortunately it didn't last very long.

HIV is not the only thing that one has to be scared of in this day and age. Besides, if you go to the point of getting married it is already too late for these tests. Sad, huh?

BTW, what is this obsession with sankies. You post about nothing else.

Shock Value of why anyone would do this really impacted me!! Also am shocked that more people don't request a an Hiv test of potential partners prior to a liason, applies to more then the Skankies. This is 2005 not the 18th century. People put a USED car to more pre-tests and checks then a life changing situation such as possibly contracting HIV. There are times when people need a Bucket of ICE water poured on their cabazas and this is one of them. This post isn't meant to rain on anyone's fun only a question about due diligence. . What does it say about a person's priorities and respect for themselves? I truly am Shocked! True other little maladies such as Hepatitis, syphyllis come along however none have the onerous finilaity of HIV+. In my profession in the Medical field I have seen too many end-stage AIDS patients in their final hours--the last an 18 month girl whose parents were HIV+.....situations like that leave a very lasting impression

Just because they don't specifically mention it in their posts, doesn't mean it doesn't happen at least some of the time. I always read these posts with the suspicion that much of the stuff written is made up, anyway.
