Default Did anyone hear about the massage parlor raids

Very interesting. 12 massage parlors were raided last Thursday, mostly in Gazcue and the Zona Universitaria.
They arrested 102 women and 28 men. One guy caught with marijuana was put in preventative prison for 3 months, while they figure out what the charges will be against him.
The women were released, the men are supposedly still in custody.
Also, erotic chairs, sythetic penises, handcuffs, etc. were confiscated.
I can't remember the last time massage parlors were targeted like this. Perhaps it's a view of things to come..

Maybe this thread should be headed to 'Legal'. The Attorney General has announced that the crackdown on prostitution is nationwide, and all local prosecutors have been ordered to shut down 'everything that has to do with prostitution'. Here's another quote: "...it's not possible that the country continue to be sold abroad as a sex destination, and for this reason all such establishment will be shutdown."

This is interesting. I heard about it at my afternoon job (in the judicial branch). I wonder if it will last though. These types of places are so common. The funny part is how many of these seem to have been somewhat "hidden".

The neighbors in all of these neighborhoods got sick of seeing it and signed petitions demanding action. But a lot of these places have military "affiliations" or kickbacks that have kept them under the radar until now. The funny part is that none of the high profile hoe-houses on Independencia are on the list (Taboo, Lapsus, Remington). They must have paid off the right people.

Great. Now all these hoes will be soliciting on the street. Then again prices will drop for Criss Colon. Congrats buddy!
