Twincactus and his wife...

My time was limited in Santo Domingo(sorry for the people I could not get together with-will be back in July) but I did hang out with twincactus and his wife and her sister.

So for all of you who think this relationship is a joke, you are wrong. Nairoby is extremely mature for an 18-year old and they both got along great. My sense of the whole thing was they were not trying to put on an act-they came across as very calm and genuine and were not shy about discussing how they got together and what they hope to accomplish as a couple.

Since I cannot add anymore details right now because I am rushing off to Cabarete, I just wanted to add this to the forum-I have seen them with my own eyes, hung out with them for a whole day and most of the night(I do not remember which night-too many Presidentes this week) and was left with the impression that they are FOR REAL and I wish them all the best. I will add more about this when I get home and dry out.

My wife and I are very secure in our relationship and nothing anyone can say here will hurt me. It is my hope that if we get into a discussion about the relationship, Anna will give the people who have questions or who think I am married to a sankiette (perish the thought) a little more rope to hang themselves. Don't worry Anna, I am assured by N.C. that she will not use foul language when defending our relationship and she has promised me she will not let the naysayers get her down.

That all being said, we had a BLAST with Berzin in the capitol. Started drinking at the beach at about 11 am and stayed there until 4 pm when we moved to a local colmado where many people hang out. There we met some more of my wife's Dominican friends (I think Berzin was overwhelmed and didn't know which one to choose, they are all so beautiful). We stayed and drank Presidentes until about 9 or 10 pm, then Berzin took a cab to his hotel to get ready to hit the discos wth us. We met up again at a karaoke bar, stayed there for a while, then we all took a private taxi to another club where we closed that one down about 4 am (who says a 44 year old guy can't keep up with the young folks?). The whole day was great and I'm sure we will do it again. Our friend got to know us, and also got to meet some real Dominican women who have jobs and go to the University there working on a 4 year degree. No sankies in sight here! I will let him tell you all more when he gets a chance, but I will be posting some pictures on my website soon so you all can see how our day went with Berzin. Wish we could have met more of you there!

Would love to come meet up with you both for some Presidentes and some Karaoke sometime in July/August if you are avaliable. You are in Santo Domingo, right? Will be down there for at least a few weeks visting the in-laws!

Once I get there in July I think I will be there at least untill January...so there's lots of time.

I hope to meet up with alot more DR1ers down there next time. I have a minamum of 6 months..not just 2 months like the other times...so there's more time for meeting up with people.

And Twincwincactus....don't worry what other ppl think...YOU KNOW what your realtionship with ur wife is like..you know there's always gonna be some critics!

as Twincactus says is right, for a few reasons. I wanted to make it clear, and TC and his wife were very understanding about this, that I did not want to give anyone the impression that I was or am looking to get married or into anything heavy right away. I just wanted to hang out and meet people. So we did.

When going about talking to different women in a large social setting, it can get a little uncomfortable. To others it may seem as if I was flirting with every pretty girl I saw but I just wanted to get to know as many people as I could in such a small amount of time.

The difference between meeting girls off the street and being introduced to them by people who live on the island is incredible. I do not think I could have run into these women on my own. So for this I thank TC and his very sweet and wonderful wife.

Also, as an aside, if you want to hop in a cab withour getting ripped off, TC´s wife wheels and deals with the best of them. She holds her ground and is very firm about many things in life. Believe me when I tell you she is no average 18 year old. And her sister is sweet and beautiful to boot. You can´t beat that, boys and girls. So get out there and meet some real dominicans!!!

And for anyone who thinks that Boca Chica was bad, all the girls that were recently fumigated from BC and the capital have migrayted north. I went dancing in Club Classico and could not believe how many working girls were out. Whatever the politur is doing to control this, it is not working.

Peaches, July or August just might work as that is probably when my wife will be scheduled for her visa interview and I will be there for a week or two then. I will let you know.

No, we are in Nagua, but were in Sto Dgo to visit her two sisters and some friends there. I am sure we will be in the capitol again when I come next time so it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure we would have a good time. maybe we could meet your husband too.

And as you know, I don't worry about what anyone thinks about us except what my wife thinks about me!
