Well if I may make a comment that is worth repeating it's when Randy said;

when foreigners go to a resort they assume that resort workers are a sample of what Dominicans all over the Island must be like.

Did I word that right?

In other words resort workers do not represent all Dominican people.

Great episode,

It's true that a regular Joe Schmo would not beable to rub elbows with the upper-crustem of the DR. They'll be judged on how they are dressed, how they look and how they speak spanish or english, then here comes the "kicker". Where do you work?? What do you do?? The answer to that question will be the "make it or brake it", whether you are in or out. Also, Dominicans in NYC ask that same question.

Sorry for talking so fast because we had a time limit and when I got on, we were already approaching the max time limit.
It was hot as hell there because of blackout and rob didn't connect his new inverter which has been sitting on the floor for 3 weeks.

Great episode.

Aftab, you sounded great...as I said to Scandall when I was listening to the episode, "the microphone likes you".

This is not "our country". No matter how long we live here we will never be Dominican. But our respect and admiration for things Dominican should not be diminished just because we are foreigners.

Ask WB. We get emails almost daily from listeners who are Dominican...both here and abroad. They consistently say that they like the show and the depth of our commentary. We have yet to receive anything truly negative.

you are truly the doctor of diplomacy, thanks. I love the Mangu Minute, I've only listened a few times, I think is very informative, I also love WB's accent. Randy is great also. AZB's interview was good and I'm sure very helpful to foreigners I hope many people listened.

AZB you look for the cheap shots, you are constantly criticizing us, so you deserve what you get. You are arrogant no matter how much education you have.
