What is a come c'mia?

Come c'mia is a pejorative term created by elitist, self-actualized, liberated college-degreed dominicanas who have come to the realization they are better than their female, stay at home, paesanas. They deride their submissiveness. They speak of the dominican housewife as a failure and ridicule them in programs such as Hochy Santos.

Hochy Santos, that famous dominican comedian, had some of these ladies over for an interview. To add injury to insult, they spoke negatively of the dominican male. They don't like the manly assertive controlling fashion of DR men. They insult DR men saying that we have a low "coeficiente intelectual". Another lady said she didn't like the possessiveness with which dominican men treat women.

One lady said that her body is hers and that "ella se lo ceda al que ella quiere". Of course one man said that the KKK is a catholic choir group compared to these kamikazes. Leave it to dominicans to come back with a biting rebuttal.

The come c'mia female has been a fixture of DR history since the Restoration.
What do you think? What type of woman do you want to marry in the DR? The modern totally liberated dominican female or a come c'mia? So many men are escaping developed nations seeking a traditional household. Would you travel this far to seek that which you were trying to escape back home?

How do you know if you are dealing with the modern dominican woman or a come c'mia. Put her to the test. If she fails what follows, caveat emptor. or maybe that's what you want, a modern relationship that's 50/50.

1) Don't cave into her desires.
2) Tell her what you like and what you don't, what you expect from her in a marriage.
3) Yes, you are looking for girl to cook, clean and take care of you if that's what you want. If you'll help in the household tell her exactly what you will and will not do.
4) Don't whitewash any of the above if that is what you are looking for.
5) Of course be friendly, cordial, smiling, kind etc.
6) Don't be despotic but firm.
7) American men are taken as wealklings by DR women who think they can have their way. Show them this ain't true.
8) Remember don't be abusive. Be suave but firm. It's your way or the highway.
8) Stand your ground, dammit, are you guys men or what?!
9) If she agrees, you got what you want.
10) If you got what you want, treat her well, take her out and appreciate all the nice things she is doing for you.
11) If she doesn't agree with what you are looking for, then the hell with her. NEXT!!
