If metrosexuals are actually heterosexuals who look like homosexuals, then I'm afraid that the only sex they are going to get, is with themselves.

trust me kids...this term metrosexual has been around for quite some time.
I have lived in nyc for 12 years now...and i have worked with and known many metrosexuals. They are totaly straight...not queeny...but are into fashion and good grooming. The term has nothing to do with being effeminiate...or with manurisms etc. It just is that many guys who live in a major METRO...have more access to fashion and a different idea of what fashion is than their hetro counterparts in more rural or suburban areas.
I know a few investment bankers that i work with who have no problem wearing their pink shirts ....and shoes with ankle socks. Their sexuality and masculinity are not really in question.
Raulin Rodriguez is definitely metrosexual..as are many latino men who take care of the way they look and groom. The way that dominican men dress going out at night (long pants and dress shirts and good shoes...THAT is metrosexual). I think it just gets down to being trendy and obsessed with ones looks

If these dudes are shaving their armpits, wearing make up, plucking their eyebrows and dressing like gays, then I have to agree with AZB on this one.
If that's not effeminate, I don't know what is.

When eyebrows are done in a discreet way is ok but some guys overdo it and its too obvious that they've waxed them. And the men purse has to go if u don't want to mistaken for being gay.

I agree with you. Some men over do it with the waxing of the eye brows.
In my own opinion - Taking care of yourself is a good thing. You want to look your best all the times but I don't agree with the whole make up thing. I think that's ridiculous. Some dude wearing make up!!! Now if you are an actor or a TV person then you would have to wear it on set but come on. I can't imagine me waking up in the morning and putting make up on. hahahahahaha as good as I want to look I would never do that.

Mike you are asking the wrong person buddy. One of the reason I live in DR is because I don't have to be politically correct all the time. What is homophobic? Its ok to be claustrophobic, hydrophobic, acrophobic etc but you can't be homophobic? who the hell told you not be be one?
If the homos are doing gerible tricks in their own apartment, I can care less but when they come out of the closet and show off their sexuality then I do have a problem. I am not sure of the gay parade scene in NYC now but there was a time (15yrs ago), I got stuck in a traffic jam in NYC. Turns out it was gay parade. The things I got to see these sick bastard were doing on the float was enough to turn my stomach. There was actually an issue raised in the media where a man and his little son were also trapped in the traffic jam in gay parade and then comes a float where some men were performing oral sex to each other in public as the other queers cheered. This furious father made a video tape of the incident and played it on the news (censored version). The police was there but no one raised a finger because they didn't want a riot.
So if you let these guys loose with their stuff, they will walk naked on the streets.
So my asnwer is, Yes, I am homophobic and I don't like flamming fags.

i have been to NUMEROUS pride parade events in NYC...i have NEVER EVER EVER EVERY EVER seen any thing like was just described!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are cops, firemen, school teachers, parents, grand parrents....and sure..some scantily clad people. Nothing compared to Carnivale en Rio....etc.
I have NEVER in my years of attending pride parades have i seen ANY blatant sexual activity...EVER!!!!! Some boobies maybe...but I see them those in the DR!

You don't need make up Rock, te ves bien al natural, I mean El Tigre. Ok what about guys who wear capri pants and those male mules, u know those shoes that have the back out, that's a little too much for me, no hetereosexual male should wear those two together.

You will find metrosexuals in most urban financial districts. In Toronto they are classed as trendy men who take care of themselves, nothing to do with being gay. Metrosextual is the new term for yuppies.
