Maybe some of them have the same answer for every story but belive me I have seen a lot situation as yours in DR.Maybe he likes you but this is just "maybe".Be carefull and wait for big decisions two years at least.
I love Dominican Republic as well and I admire people living there.I am going to move to Cabarete soon.

Don't worry Im not going to make any hasty decions, Im going there in 2 weeks and I will be with him for about 5 or 6 months or so and right after that he will come to holland again for 3 months (on a tourist visa)
I will see how everything will work out and how we will feel about eachother.
I don't think my boyfriend is a sanky (i would be with him if i did, lol) but I do acknowledge that I can never be 100% sure, until he's really settled
here in Holland. I will be sad and dissapointed if this turns out to be the case, but I will get over it
