I hate to break it to you but it is for money, citizenship, or some superficial reason like you are not dominican or you are a father for kids or something. I am with one. May be even with more than one. But going to DR with me is a different story. Women come to US not to move back to DR. I feel very sorry for most men here (who are not impotent yet) but for women it is paradise.

I still dont get you. You said in the OP that you have dated many Dominican women and traveled to the DR many times. Sounds to me like you had sufficient time to make an educated guess if a Dominican woman would make a good wife. Your answer is right in your OP.

Why there is an urgent need for gringos to get married at once? I mean we are not living in the 1940's where a man is expected to get married and start a family as soon as he dates a girl.
