what do female dominicans work as in germany

im very interested in hearing what you think about this situation.

recently i was introduced to a very very beautiful dominican woman who was somehow closely associated with my friends family. She has no tertiary education and works in germany (she said). She is apparently there making clothing, according to one family member...apparently.Whilst when i asked another what she did she then said ; 'No say' which i found very strange given that they were very close friends. Later we went to veiw her recently purchased block of land that she paid $35000us for. Further she has plans to build a $150000 home on this land. She also apparently owns 2 units in santo domingo.

my questions are these;
Do clothing makers in Germany earn so much? Or is this more Dominican bull$hit? that is to say she's over there prostituting.
Do dominican women work as pro's in germany?
Im just curious your thoughts on this issue are welcome.

perhaps you think this is non of my business ...please move on and don't respond. Im simply trying to understand the depths that dominicans go to too survive!

Well I don't know about the depths this particular Dominicana had to go through to survive (if she is into prostitution) but economically she has done alot better than you and I.

It's possible, but there are other ways she could have got that money, some of them even legitimate.

The bit about not knowing what she does - people can be funny that way. A friend of mine here has a sister in Spain. She is educated to at least bachillerato, and used to work in a bank in the DR.

In Spain she worked as a maid. When she got engaged to a Spanish man, the family were overjoyed. I asked them what he did for a living, and they didn't know. I thought it was strange that they didn't think it important to know if he was a waiter, an architect or a rat-catcher. Maybe the fact that he was an EU passport holder was enough.

I know a 30-year old Dominican women who is in Sweden and is a registered nurse. She is making good money.

So much you don't know, like maybe her family already had money, maybe she's a designer and models as well. How long has she been in Germany?

Too many unknowns to venture a real estimate on this.

I would venture to say that a majority of the women from the DR in Germany do practice the world's oldest profession...

However, there are many professional women there as well as happily married women there. Their spouses are totally capable of purchasing land and building houses.

"Judge ye not lest you bejudged" might be the safest route to follow on this one.

We really don't have enough information to know what she does, but German workers are some of the highest paid in the world.

Also the DR has a disproportionately high number of women working in the sex trade abroad - so there is reason to accept and reason to doubt her story.

It is generally bad manners to call someone a prostitute though, appearances notwithstanding.

Given the distance to their home country and overall numbers in their host countries Dominican women share a relatively high percentage in the sex trade in Europe.

Whether the mentioned girl is part of that is speculation.
