Anna, get the rope. But this time SHE is the one you will need it!. LOL.
I have not forgotten about this thread.

I am just waiting for her to post again. See, I don't want to waste my time writing if she is one of those people that post once and when she does not like what she hears, goes away.

Besides, today is the 18th and I miss someone, therefore, I want to play a little nice today. Just for today!.

Okay i get it, its a really bad idea and i must be mad, crazy, niave etc to even consider it. Problem is when your on your hols the sun, drink and flatery seems to go straight to you head and you do act differently to when your home. I guess when i got home this time didnt want it to end so it's been dragged out longer than a holiday romance should. I justified the expense by convincing myself that we'd live happily ever after. I just discovered this site yesterday so the term sankie??? is totally new to me but you maybe right. To be honest i am planning on staying in touch with him but just as friends and there'll be no more money leaving my possession. As for the marriage thing i have english friends who have married within months of meeting and some that have waited years and they all appear to be happy. Personally marriage isn't something i'd ever given much thought to never thought it was really essential these days but have given it some thought over the last couple of weeks but i still wouldn't jump into it for a start I'd want my daughters permission (sad i know but she's my number one).

I'd still like to think that every dominican bloke can't be a lying, cheating, using piece of work.

I'll still be returning to the Dominican in the new year i think the island is beautiful and i'm planning on looking for a holiday home there but have loads of research to be doing first.

Anyone who is in a relationship with a dominican good luck.

If you think that's what any of us are saying, you have the wrong idea. What people are saying to you is that more likely than not, he is a sankie. From the clues you've given us (he works at a resort, you pay his way). Sankies, are just what you described.... A more typical Dominican man has a lot of pride and would want to spoil and provide for his woman (or women, as it were), not take handouts from them.

I really hope that some of these stories and cautions were helpful to you and more importantly your daughter.

You will need them.

You will hear a lot here but I am wondering if you have really read the other threads or posts here about this?

Good Luck. Sincerely wish you well just be careful. Wait six months to a year then see.
replace the rose colored ones she is now wearing? Or perhaps you should send her a pair of blacked out ones like a blind person might wear?
Wow, I like those two lines of mine--maybe I can use them in a poem or lyrics for a song?
Just trying to lighten up this tread because you all know where its headed eal soon. Anna...?

Thank you Betty for making my day and considering to take this guy away from the island.

Can I somehow subsidize this project?
It'd be a shame to see it fail.

Try staying at a different resort for New Years. You will quickly find out how this relationship can be replicated, and at the same time get over s**kie #1 while having a memorable time with s**kie #2.

True.
Leasing or renting is cheaper than buying.
