Shad I think she's talking about herself. She wants the knowledge. She's asking what is a considered a good profession in the DR and by the other thread we have going I just don't know any more

My wife, who is a teacher from the DR would beg to differ with those who say teaching is not a profession, but the reality is that it is not a high paying job in the DR. Top wages are in the 15,000-20,000 pesos for a fully qualified teacher that has had the good luck/connections to find that kind of job.
At Yris's school in Jarabacoa she pays anywhere from 6000 to 13,000 pesos per month for full time teachers, she also pays medical insurance for the teachers and their family. Teachers working in the public schools make a little more but their teaching conditions are much worse. Teaching is a vocation, not a profession.

Ay dios... girlfriend, knowledge IS power... in this case, concentrate on the fact that you have the kNoWlEDgE now that this guy isn't worth the time, energy or money... take a deep breath and thank your lucky stars that you know all of this now!! good luck xx
