To the OP - yes it is customary here probably for 95 % of the population to mover very quickly in relationships. My personal theory is that this is not about love but about convenience. I like you - you like me - we live together cheaper then separately. For the guy add - you will cook, clean and service all my needs and take care of the babies we make - what's not to like about that.

YOu can take the man out of the country but you can't take the latino out of the man.

Move at your own pace, ask lots of questions about his past, ask lots of questions here (but be prepared to hear the answers LOL) and keep your eyes and ears open.

Shad you need to stop this line of thought or at least your posts on this subject. Some of us worked very hard in our lives and when the marriage broke down we still continued to do so.

So stop bad mouthing all women because of your very obvious bad experiences

Anna, you missed my heading I said "What if" .... I was responding to Avrora's post in which she said ALL MEN ... implying that she should not generalize I don't disrespect hard working women

He use to work for his dad's business in a store in Puerto Plata. He met his wife when she came to make some purchases in the store one day.

I must agree it's getting very, very cold up here in good old Toronto and the race to find a sweet lady is soon approcahing and of course the mulelus are on the prowl.
So, answer yoru questions: They split up because she was married at the time she brought him up to Canada and the plan was to bring him up and then go back to her husband b/c she wanted to help him get his papers.
I have seen his pay stubs and it looks like an ok salary but i have never seen where he works. He's a manager of a distrubution center in Toronto.

so, planner , any hope of him becoming liberal in his thinking? Like, i work and contribute 50% to our relationship.
By nature i usually tend to ask many questions so that's not the problem. I've heard his stories about how different the women are in Canada vs. R.D. etc..
