Gringo treatment vs dominican treatment.

As many of you folks know already, I have been living in this island for sometime now. I am the kind of person who find humor in everything around me, even in my bad days, I find situations to laugh at. I just love to watch human behavior when they have their guards down.
For some time now I have been watching the different approach of treatments of dominican women between north american and dominican males.
Funny how the north american male usually finds the first dominican woman he comes into contact and starts to treat her like a sacred Annanki god from heavens. he begins to kiss her feet and carries a pillow behind her everywhere she goes. Usually I see them in malls shopping, she is doing the buying and he is doing the paying and carrying the bags. she is running the show, he is only there to be a top notch bendejo.
Now here is a typical scenario.
example: I invite luis (dominican) to come to my house to watch a good movie on my giant screen home theater tomorrow night. He instantly expresses his interest and turns around and tells his beautiful young model girlfriend "have you heard, we are going to AZB's house tomorrow to watch a movie, so be ready at 7pm...."
All done.
Now I ask the same question to (lets say) Mr. B (american) and he instantly interrupts me to say, "let me ask juana (dominican chopa girlfriend) what she has planned for us tomorrow, I am not sure if I can come...". Then he turns around and asks his barrio girlfriend in extremely polite manner, almost with fear, "what are we doing tomorrow?". I mean this is just disgrace, a man, twice the age of the barrio girl who doesn't even know her left foot from right and letting her run the show?

Luis was sitting with me in a grand opening partying of a restaurant in santiago. His car was parked far away. He realizes he had left his cell phone in his car so he looks at his wife and gives her the keys and tells her to go get his cell phone from car. She makes a face but she gets up and does just what he had asked her to do. You think A gringo would have the guts to order his barrio girl off the chair and do some work for him? hahahaha
Now mind you, luis' wife is a super model type girl when he married her and she is from a rich family with USA visa and all. She travels frequently. She is not some desperate girl from some callejon who is dying to meet a foreigner. She has all what it takes to be a lady.

So here is the conclusion. The guys who treat their woman like this are the ones who are happily together with their mates. their girls just can't get enough of them and do anything to be with them at all times. Luis treats his wife good but he also lets her know, who the man is in the house. She loves him to death. This is also true in my case, I keep my women on tight leash and they just love me to death. Guys like us are never without beautiful women who are dying to spend every minute with us.

Now the scene changes to the man who puts his woman before his own interests. hahahaha, poor guy is always taken to the laundry by his woman. He pays for everything and even takes care of her parents and family. he only comes here to spend more money on her while she treats him badly in public and even insults him in front of his friends.
I am talking about cases I have seen during my 9 years of living here in DR. One guy was so badly treated by his wife (a semi puta) who called him a maricon (fag) in front of us in public, the poor guy didn't speak 3 words in spanish. I have seen one girl who threw her husband's cell phone on his face in front of me because he didn't answer his cell phone when she called him. One guy got beat up by his hooker ex wife in public. She jumped him from behind and pushed his head on concrete floor.
I see dominican women not letting their american boyfriends go out alone with guys or even let them plan anything. They have full control and treat their gringo men like pendejos.

So guys what is going on here? When will you learn that your way of thinking (treating women equal or better) doesn't work at all. wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrong, I don't have money and I don't spend it on them. Ignorant is you who has not seen what approach works and what doesn't. keep believing in your stupid ideals and pay the price. the truth is simple: the guys who let their women know who the man is in the relationship are the ones who are happily together with their women, their women are happier with them and not to mention, they respect their men. In most cases the woman is also top notch in look and personality.
Now the guy who treats his woman like annanaki goddess is the one with the ugly barrio girl, who is dirt poor and cheap looking in most cases. he is paying for everything and worst of all, she may not even be faithful to him behind his back.

Now the guys who live here a long time will agree with me but people like you who have no clue of this island will throw the first stone.

This is the year 2008 ,( in case you have not noticed due to where your head seems to be), and woman nor man should not have to obey anyone! If you are in a relationship that is not about a true 50/50 , where you do something for the person you are with because you care and want to, not due to "obeying, or ordered" then pretty much in some way or form you have "bought" them. leekiv, ignorant is way too nice. Just like people here generalize about Dominicans, AZB does the same with Americans/gringos or whatever prejudice he may have. Obviously he comes from a culture that looks down on women as 2nd class citizens and if it was up to him he would not let women vote or drive.

Although I disagree somewhat with the length AZB goes in saying that one needs to "mistreat" his Dominican spouse, there is some validity in saying that spoling them will cause them to loose respect for their husband - as I have found out unfortunately.

Part of the problem is that a lot of guys who marry foreign girls do so because they would never be able to marry such an attractive girl where they come from and are obviously feel very grateful(myself included). Of course, when the real work of marriage begins, one finds out that spoiling one's wife is just like spoling a child, you end up with a person who more than likely will be forever ungrateful, unappreciative and more demanding of others.

I don't agree that one has to mistreat his Domincan wife, just establish that there can be only one man in the family and that he should be respected until he shows otherwise. This is important in most cultures and even more so in a patriarchal society like in the DR.
