Question Where is the Actions at for 5 guys in there 20's?

What Up DR1 Fourms, been reading alot of threads and decided to make an account so I can get my questions out there....hopefully some of you guys can help me out

I pretty much want to find a AI resort that is BOTH close to the nightlife action clubs/bars and plenty of Local Beautys and has a huge # of room so there is a greater chance to meet females and such that are there on vacation. Also a great pool scene is a must. We are 5 guys in our early 20's looking to have a crazy wild time in all categorys.
So far I am kind of leaning toward Breezes, RIU (but i hear that one is far from local fun) and Iberostar. Hopefully you guys can help me out and direct me towards my dream vacation!!

I plan on booking this trip tomorrow so please any last minute info reguarding my questions would be nice.

Thanks Fellas/Ladys

Check out Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Cabarete... all the benefits of an all-inclusive plus the young surf/kitesurf/windsurf crowd that's at the bars in town (short walk down the beach).

Does it have 400+ rooms? because we are trying to go to the MECCA of Young singles resorts because it is our first DR trip and we already decided on POP even thought I heard boca chica is the way to go for what we desire, but hopefully you guys can direct myself and my 4 buddies to the correct choice for a terrific time with tourists and locals.

Forget Boca Chica. It's nothing like it was 10 years ago.

Go to Cabarete, it's by far your best option. Beach nightlife, bars, parties etc. East reach to Sosua, Puerto Plata etc.

I agree with CFA123, Viva will be your best choice in Cabarete.

What's with 400+ rooms?
Viva Tangerine is listed online with 221.

For 400+ you probably need to head to Punta Cana or Bavaro.
Enjoy... but it wouldn't be my idea of a vacation.

Simple answer, no. You are far from any real action and you will be stuck in the resort.

The DR is not Cancun, it's not a huge singles destination.
By far your best option is Cabarete. It has a great beach scene, lots of bars, young crowd etc. Plus you can get to Sosua and Puerto Plata very easily.

Listen to Robert! even tho i like BC (i dont go for the party scene)...i always recommed Cabarete to younger travelers who ask about the DR.

I've had other friends who have traveled to Punta Cana and some of the other big resort areas..and while they said they were pretty and nice...they got bored quickly. (and those were married couples not looking to chica chase). From what i "hear" and have read...cabarete sounds like the place for young and active folks to go. and yes...you can even venture out of town and check out sosua and other places.

What's the point of a huge resort, if it's filled with families and honeymoon couples.

We live here, we know how it is and what's going on. We are telling you what to do and where you should stay based on the requirements you have posted.
