Missed Encounter

This is my first time posting in this forum….here’s my story.

About 2 weeks ago, I was at laguardia airport waiting for a cab to go home. I met a really cute guy on his way back from the Dominican Republic….he told me he was there for about six weeks and was traveling since 6 that morning. He asked to use my cell phone to call a cab, which we were going to share. After an hour of waiting (up until about 1 in the morning), I couldn’t wait anymore for the cab to arrive. So I decided to get on line for a yellow cab. Wasn’t until afterwards, I thought to myself he seemed like a REALLY nice guy and I wish I got his number or email address.

Now, I can only hope to run into him again. Which I’m sure is possible since we both live in Queens.

So can anyone on this site tell me where most Dominicans go to socialize? Either in Queens or Manhattan. Doesn't only have to be the club scene either.

And if you, cutie, happen to be reading this, holla at me!!!

well normally when i used to go to there, there is a club in manhattan called umbrella a lot dominicans go there, from everywhere from new york.

Amoraye-before you turn into the female version of SunandBuns, let me explain a bit about this site.

Travel information, real estate, where to go/where to stay/where to eat/where to have fun in the Dominican Republic.

You can get questions answered by people who travel a lot to the DR and from folks who live there.

An all-around great group of people who have no problems answering questions and helping out however they can.

If you want to use this site to have some dude "Holla" at you who just so happens to be dominican, maybe an online dating site would get you better results.

yes, i read thru the site and became familair with it prior to posting and did notice the forums related to what you mentioned (which i bolded).

with that being said, what exactly is this particular forum for??? men from mars, women from venus????

OH, and what dating site did u have in mind? i want a dominican man.

You want a Dominican man, no problem. Go to any travel agent and book a trip to one of the All Inclusive hotels in Playa Dorada, Puerta Plata. You will find all you can handle.

Before you go rent a movie called Sanky Panky and watch it.

i read bad things about Sankies on this site. first time i ever heard of those ppl. I'm not looking for that type of a person.

plus, i'd rather one that resides in the US.

Long distance relationships can be burdensome. So since I don’t plan on moving, I want one that lives in America.

to answer ur question, I’ve been around Dominicans for a long time now. My neighbor is Dominican, the lady who’s been doing my hair for years is Dominican. Based on my experience, I think they're nice ppl and I like the latin culture. And most importantly, I want to see that Dominican guy again. He’s the main reason.

y hablo espanol un poquito tambien. its not that great but i can get by.

so it would out work fine.

Like someone already said, that's like finding a needle in a haystack. Maybe he's married and has a family, if he was interested in you he would have gotten your contact info right there and then.

Finding this one guy seems to be a waste of a thread.
