Default Men Vs. Women

Hello.

The other day, I was talking to a friend of mine from the DR. We were talking about friendships/relationships and I noticed that his view about a certain topic changed. In the past, he was very open about his feelings (eg. telling me about girls he dated, told me he loved them, misses them, etc.). Now, I'm noticing that he doesnt like to talk about his feelings anymore. It's like he shys away from the topic or considers it tabu.

My question about DR men and DR culture. Is it a sign of inferiority for a man to express his feelings about a women.

Basically, my friend said to me that things with him have changed. Now that he is an adulto, he will no longer say those things anymore. He said that he is serio now and looking for his wife/soulmate.

Is this part of the norm?

Maybe he's telling, in a way, you that he likes you and wants to be with you.
Ask him how he feels about you. And do you like him?
