Long distance relationships don't usually rebound when they end.
But, have any of you maintained friendships with past loves in DR?
Are foreigners more clinging when the relationship is on the outs?
Do you find that Dominicans get over relationships faster than foreigners do?
Is it easier to move on in DR? Why?

Long distance relationships don't usually rebound when they end.
But, have any of you maintained friendships with past loves in DR? I keep a good relationship with almost all of my ex girlfriends,some for many years. The word they now use to describe our relationships is "Amigos con Derechos" I actually like this arragement better,let their new love pay the bills and I get to have all the fun and just pay for a night out on the town.
Are foreigners more clinging when the relationship is on the outs? Yes,Most of the women I know complain that the guy will call 10 times a day trying to work it out, my advise is let it go and move on, she will call you again someday, trust me on this one.
Do you find that Dominicans get over relationships faster than foreigners do? Yes because they have the Amigo con derechos in the backround.

I have a friend i still talk to, only by email..never on the phone. He's from Santiago and married a girl from Germany... we talk about everything, we have become pretty close...it's kind of weird, considering it was a disaster in DR.

I'm definately not clinging on to him!! even tho he looks exactly like Colombus Short and dances like him!!

He did all the traits of a professional sanky...

Asked for money- I laughed
Wanted my babies- I really laughed
Told me he loved me- (after 10 minutes) that was hysterical

even after all that, i knew it was just a fling...and I moved on to my second week...he was not impressed... but thats life!
