How much does it cost you in the DR ?
ok, we ALL know that men and women chase the opposite sex during a vacation in the DR seeking love and/or attention.
so tell us what do you pay guides, animation workers, working girls, sankies, etc for their services ?

No not all go to the DR to seek what you say......especially to pay the opposite sex for love and or affection.
I take 100 $ in ones and tip accordingly for services in which I would pay anywhere on a get away.
I do, however, bring kids clothing and school supplies to a family in which I have become good friends with. I visit them often when I'm there, and I do this too see the happiness it brings them.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than to give, to someone who is not so privileged monetarily, who in return gives back to me something even greater...........and that is... showing me how happy and privileged they all are even with nothing.

In Higuey the approximate rates are: RD$ + salida (usually 200 or 300 pesos)
barrio puta houses, and barrio chopas - 300 -500 pesos
regular drinking establishemnts, terazzas, disco clubs, - 700-1000 pesos
higer establishements - over 1000 pesos
Those are dominican rates .... if you're agringo with no Spanish, remove one zero, but calculate in dollars.

On tipping: If you really want people to remember you, go to a bank in the states and get 100 dollars in 2 dollar bills. Hand those out for tips.
Those people will NEVER forget you..

Nobody said anything about paying.... I said what the approximate rates were.... because one knows what cueros charge does not imply one's paying.... IMHO
