All things are possible!
There is lots of "true love" going on.
The problems seem to start when the environment changes - e.g. tourist/expat takes woman/man to the home country.
Here is a thought -
When I was a lad, I was a pro-musician.
This fact made it possible for me to date girls that would have otherwise been "out of my league". They saw the guy on stage in front of large crowds being applauded and being treated like a king. They could read about me and see me on T.V. They could buy my CDs in music shops.
That is part of the reason why I wanted to be a musician when I was young - chicks dig it and it beats working for a living.
They like the perceived opportunities that come with dating a musician. (Yes I was earning a good living - still am actually, although the royalties are not so impressive these days. Young people have terrible taste these days!)
Now I can date girls that would be "out of my league" because I am a Gringo.
Same set of rules apply in my opinion. Initially, the girl is happy to be with me because of her perception of what she thinks I am - a Gringo.
I have been accused of being predatory, dating a beautiful young Dominican woman but was never thought of as predatory dating a beautiful young British woman. Why?
What is the difference?
Is one the abuse of power and the other not?
I am who I am and the girl is going to find out soon enough that I am a decent, hardworking, non-violent, faithful, honest, mainly sober, decent human being, (And devastating in the sack

)
That is when she will make the decision to hang around or not - when she realises that I am no easy mark - that her initial perceptions have to be adjusted to fit reality.
The point I am making is that although being a Gringo may get you an introduction to these girls - once you show them that you are no fool - they will either stay or go depending on their motives and what they really think of you.
If you keep your wits about you, things should work out fine or not as the case may be - if you do not make the classic mistakes of being a Western Union boyfriend, or deciding to date a woman whose job is having sex with tourists for money regularly, the same rules apply as do with "normal" relationships.
You use what fate has given you.
You could be;
- The nicest guy in the world
- Be a musician
- Be a sports star
- The most caring guy in the world
- Be the best lover in the world
- The funniest guy in the world
- The most romantic poet in the world
- The most handsome guy in the world
- The richest guy in the world
- Have the biggest dxxk in the world
- Have the best body in the world
- Be a decent guy (less effective but some weird chicks dig that too!)
- All of the above - like me.
Do not expect for things to work out if you fall in love with a hooker on holiday.
But expect things to work out if you want them to - and take action accordingly. You have to get over the initial perceptions the girl may have of you as a rich Gringo and you could be fine.
When MAO Tse Tung was asked whether the French Revolution had worked out - he said, "It is too early to tell."
To some extent the same answer applies to all on-going relationships.

P.S. Women spend more time thinking about what men are thinking about, than men spend time thinking.
