In defense of the Barrio Chopas and others

whilst I respect the men and women on the forum that want to date the more cultured types. i also dont see why a men and women of the site cant date the other types as well. i personally dont see myself as the type that can date them. I want to be free to goof around and be myself rather than put up a front of being cultured and actually caring about 17th century paintings. I could care less about sophistication and things like that. just looking for a girl that can look after me and let me look after her. the kind that can go to a fast food joint and just be greatful i even bout her a meal.

i know that there are dozens and dozens of people that want to date these kinds and most gringo(a)s are often with these but the problem is changing them or getting them to fall for you and leave the "tigres". I often do see those kinds with plenty of make-ups, long finger nails, bright colours and lipstick. Some attractive and some not. The problem is most are after your money and less in actual love or respecting with you. I like that look. some may call it slutty but i feel its just an expression.

I met quite a few like that in DR and one I liked. She weren't educated but all she was friendly and i liked taking her out. but the problem was i was always felt like i was gonna get taken to the cleaners or the money was going to the "tigres". so what are the gringos doing wrong with those kind of girls that the tigres are doing right? or is it just impossible to pull off?cheers

I am at a loss here. It seems to me like 98% of the foreign men only date these types, the barrio type. So what seems to be the problem? There is nothing to figure out. The foreign guys & gals are already dating the barrio type tigras y tigres for decades.

First of all, the barrio tigre has nothing to give her so she can't expect anything at all, other than a night of hard sex and empty promises. The foreign guys, on the other hand, seem to be in the utmost urgency to find "a girl" and start to pay for her up-keeps. They immediately start to support her kids, her family etc. She gets monthly allowance, a nice house, (maybe) a car and school tuition and all the whole 9 yards. She doesn't even have to insist or beg, the guys are simply dying to give her all.
So yes, the barrio tigra and a gringo are a couple "made in heaven".

What I mean is how do you make the relationship more about both of you and less about money. i mean there are times when the girls just go out with you to give money to their bnoyfriends. So what are these guys doing right to make them more respected and about to get pu$$y with out paying for it. are they just better seducers or is it because gringos treat the women bad.

OK I have to remind myself to unsubscribe from this thread since it is going to be long and pointless.

But my two cents: the problem with barrio girls is that "love" or whatever is not a matter of the heart or a pass time for them, but a matter of survival. so their priorities are going to be very different and the chances of having a meaningful relationship where one partner isnt just being used are pretty slim.

And if one partner IS just being used, its going to be the gringo. Sorry, but you are not gonna beat these b!tches at their own game. Besides, they are playing for keeps and you are just passing through.

Hillbilly's 3 rules (sorry no time to make a link) are perfect for evaluating mixed relationships.

For this to make sense to you, you would have to understand the "tigre" mentality that is prevalent in these poor neighborhoods.

The gringos don't treat these women badly if they are showering them with money for their needs, the needs of their children(something a tigre will NOT do) and showing them a good time when they come and visit.

But these chicas are nothing but female tigres, so how would you expect them to act? They grow up thinking that anyone who shows them kindness is weak and ripe for taking advantage of. In some cases the chicas eventually wind up resenting their foreign boyfriends to the point where it leads to violence and sometimes death.

We've seen this many times. I remember one story reported on DR1 where some Italian guy was murdered by his Dominican wife to facilitate the theft of his money and property. The whole time she was in cahoots with her Dominican boyfriend to perpetrate this.

Why anyone would voluntarily stick their heads in this lion's mouth is beyond me. My question to anyone considering this would be, do you have any other options for dating Dominican women, or are you just hell-bent on playing with fire to see if you can buck the odds?

dear OP, it's not about 17th century paintings. let's face it, even two academics do not have profound conversations.
i appreciate watching cartoons and having a laugh with miesposo. it's great that we can talk silly talk and do silly things. but i also appreciate that he can help me with my work, advice my friends on business issues. i appreciate even more the fact that when we went to poland and visited auschwitz concentration camp miesposo was touched and cried.
in burger king he will get dirty and eat with his hands and in an expensive restaurants he behaves like an aristocrat. he is quiet in a cinema and respectful in church.
barrio people... i have met many foreigner/dominican couples that made me blush with embarrassment. a barrio girl would show up in a fancy restaurant in what she sees as a fancy dress - that is, a slut outfit. a barrio boy will have no idea how to use knife and fork.
that is all there is to it...

I think the OP is asking why are those girls more attracted to the barrio bum who can not and does not want to help the girl in any way other than sexually, then to the gringo who is responsible, educated, financially stable and so on. What the gringo is doing wrong is simply being too nice and in turn he is looked upon as a loser who can't get any wherever it is he came from. I think those girls know they are nothing special but also they know that the gringo can not do any better than them, because if he could then he wouldn't be with them in the first place. The best thing you can do is turn the tables on them, you use them for sex and fun, along the way spend a few bucks on her, but only WHEN SHE IS WITH YOU, don't let her take any of your money with her. If you are together pay her the most expensive dinner and vine, but don't give her one peso to take home. When upon return to the barrio the tiguere sees she's back empty handed he won't be that happy to see her. Then it's only you who's giving her any attention, and she'll be glad to see you every time. Either that or she will, at the tiguere's instructions, go looking for someone dumb to bleed dry. Win-win for you.

I have lost count at the newbies I have seen drained by girls.
They always think they know best, but these girls twist them around
their little fingers. Treat them like crap and talk about their "gringo pendejo"
to all their friends, as if its a badge of honor.
