I created a new name to post this story..

So here is the story I am an American-Dominican girl. Who has traveled to DR many many times, my parents live there as well. I am 27 now but was 21 at the time. So I met a Guy in Santiago, who actually had a Visa, worked at the bank, Had a brand new car, and studied at PUCMM, and had a bank account larger than mine. So of course why would i ever think something wrong. His dad lived in the US and would also send them money, they had a nice house in DR. Little things started to occur, like his car ALWAYS breaking down, and i needed to help, i was going 6 times a years to DR, many times jsut weekend trips to see my parents but each time i took him a suit case packed with clothes.. til it got to a point where he always needed money for something, how naive was I, this lasted about 4 years, even though my friends who were his friends would tell me to break up with him. *why is it that when you are in love sometimes you cant see anything else*. So one day he was asking me to check something with his bank account and gave me the password. I said why dont i try this password on his hotmail account and long and behold i discovered the truth. Yes he lived in a nice house, yes he studied in PUCMM becuase his parents paid for his school. But his cars and his large bank account were due to the numerous GF he had in NY that would send him money and buy him everything he had. Even though he had a visa he never saw the reason to live here and ofcourse his major tool in getting these girls from NY to believe he was sincere (the whole time he even had a job that paid him well). I was hurt, but eventually got over it... I actually laugh right now when i think about... I was there this past dec and found out he was getting married to a girl form a wealthy family from Moca. I saw him 2 days before his wedding, while hanging out at a bar in santiago and after 3 years he was still telling me, he was sincere, he loved me, i should of been the girl he married... and all i did was laugh....

sorry but i just came across these forums.. I always get DR1 news but never come into the forum...i thought the stories were interesting, so decided to post my thoughts and what happened to me.

How could have you been so blind for four years? You said that you laughed at him, He is the one who was laughing, ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK...

And you are right, many of these pro sankys are so good that they dont want to go to the states. They have a good steady income playing many people in the states and canada and many other places..Hey, but i gaurantee that you learned a good lesson and are a lot more cautious now. And dont feel so bad, many people on this forum have made dumb mistakes and have fell for these type of games. But many people just wont admit the suckers they once were.

Oh yes ANNA, i meant that i signed up just to share my story.

Oh of course it hurts, i think that's why people me included don't want to see the truth, you don't want to admit it to yourself that you are being used, so you try to ride it out and make up excuses for yourself.

I laughed the last time, becuase by that time i had gotten over it already and realized the truth, so i just couldn't believe he was still trying to "con" me.. but yes you definitely LIVE and learn.
