I have not heard stories like his, since high school. Awww I miss those pimply faced guys bragging by their Kurt Cobain poster-laced lockers, about how many girls they had last weekend...and that sense of pride they had in their eyes...

Hearing his stories brings back fond memories of an easier and more care free time, when my greatest worries were finishing my History homework, whether I was going to like what my mother packed for my lunch and if I could get Kurt Cobain concert tickets! I miss my teens but love Bad'piece because he.... Smells Like Teen Spirit!

Thandie I think we turned a corner, I really believe you now want me. On a side note I have never on this board talked about throwing the women from whence they came. I treat the women I am with very well, just ask anyone on the board who has met me in the DR or in the states while in the company of a beautiful woman. I may not be faithful to one woman but when I am with a woman I treat her with respect and as if she were the only one while we are together.

Even if you truly believe that men's cheating can be likened to the animalistic mating habits of dogs and cocks, men cheating on women has many negative consecuences in this country and elsewhere.

Just the other day, I had to listen to a disgusting old man on a guagua brag to everyone about how he had 21 children with 19 women. He didn't care that he had abandoned many or that some refused to speak to him anymore, which says a lot considering how important family is here. That is an extreme case, but the children the man has with la otra don't seem to get the same amount of economic or emotional support from the father. Even if he was capable of giving it, his wife comes between them.

Speaking of the wife, what about all the women the husband is sleeping around with? And the people they are sleeping with? He's probably not protecting himself from HIV or other infections. Then he goes home and sleeps with his wife, expecting her to not use a condom because she's his wife and accusing her of cheating if she asks to use one. It's a little selfish for a man to give her HIV, or give her an infection that results in cervical cancer just because, as some have suggested, a man has some kind of sexual needs that must be fulfilled. infidelity + no condom = higher HIV and STI rates , and that's a reality here.

I agree with the social, cultural and economic explanations for cheating mentioned. That women put up with it just because they want to is ridiculous. Maybe they are just trying to save face so they say they don't care, or because it's more important to them that the person "loves" them and not the otras. They are just playing a role of someone who doesn't care, and that role was created for them by men.
