Even though your not exactly a spring chicken confidence should not be an issue, as Dominican women generally like foreigners , even ugly ones, haha. You should be aware of that fact and be on the lookout for "leechers".

I recommend not hanging out in the bars looking for women but through friends and I also recommend taking it kind of slowly because it sounds like you are looking for a meaningfull relationship.

Question. Does one physical appearance is taken into seriously consideration by Dominican women? I'm 5'4 and 215 pounds but I have my hair. Not the best looking but have a positive attitude.

as stated be careful, dominican women can smell a newbie 1000 miles away.
when in Rome, do like the Romans. there will be plenty of ex-pats and other experienced tourists for you to hang out with. learn the lay of the land from them.
