I love DR because I love looking at beautiful young women and when I am there, that is usually the case. And I have always loved spending money on women.........which fits anywhere you go in this world, i'm sure, reguardless what languade you speak.........

So just go and also read the sanky forum. first............just beware and protect your heart and your money, if you plan on landing on that Island and find out you are Don Juan.....Just realize from time to time...... Must Be the MONEY..........

So don't take it as a personnal attack, just as those , not from the island see things as being.

I sometimes think I'm taking advantage of the pretty, pretty girls, that I call friends, but then those voices are calling from far away, wake me up in the middle of the night, just to hear them say, welcome to the Hotel California .......................( Sosua )...........

most dominican women are really short so thats not an issue. and if you have a napoleon complex it matters even less. attitude is everything.

As for the OP's question... who knows? Will they love you for your money? yes-- in a land so poor, how could they not?

Will they love you for the possible visa? yes.

Will they be faithful and true? seems that most of these guys here think not... but then most of these guys here are not either so .. water seeks its own level.

But then will you only want them for their physical beauty? For the way they cook and clean? for the chemistry? Will you really take their family as your own. Because here, Dominicans are part of their family... for the most part, take one, take them all.

Have there been happy and long term relationships between Dominican women and expat men? plenty of them The other way around does not seem to work so well although it does sometimes.

Are they consider to be better "wives" in the traditional sense than most Americans, Europeans, etc..? I would say so.. A Dominican wife who does not cook, clean, iron, take care of her home, etc etc etc, or expects her man to do that sort of work, is... from what I can see

(again, of course, only through the bars that surround me here in my heavily secured gated community and the very limited contact that I have with the local community and marginal understanding of the local culture)

is considered useless.

And, seconding POP, five foot seven is not short,..think baseball, not
basketball---

Your height or lack of it will not be a problem as the size of your wallet is more important. I'm a shorty also at 5 '7.5''. There are plenty of Dominican girls taller than that but the vast majority are under 5'4''. When you are horizontal you won't notice.

I'm your friend MIDWESTERNER. The DR women are a graduate course in the art of manipulation and deceit. I suggest trying out Costa Rica where the women are educated, home bound and simple.

From reading your posts, you seem genuine. You seem to be the type that will fall in love and cherish your wife. Those are the qualities that DR women seek in order to make mince-meat out of you so:

You're just not coming across the right ones. I realize as a gringo, you attract a pletora of gold diggers, like any man percieved as "rich" in any setting in the world, but that doesnt mean theyre all like that.
