Short Guy coming to DR

Hi everyone,
I found this forum a couple of months ago but this is my first post. I am a single guy in my thirties. I have been thinking about moving permanently or semi-permanently to DR. On this site, I read many stories about how dating is different in DR compare to US. I havent read much about how Dominican women view shorter guys. I am 5foot 7inches (170cm). I am a nice guy and I have alway treated women well. I am also athletic and health-consious.
The main reason, I want to move to DR is for less hectic lifestyle. Other things (ie women) would be bonus. By the way, I am of mixed ethnic background and I don't look white ( I look brown).
Financial-wise, I am not rich but I have done well all my life (I have never had any debt except student loans). I have a couple of ideas about a career in DR, but I will open a separate thread for that.

I don't see your height being an issue in finding women. While I lived there, I knew women who were at least 5'8'' with boyfriends who were barely 5'3''. Also, as long as you're foreign, they'll date you.

Besides, 5'7'' isn't that short! Enjoy.

You have been on this forum for a few months so you should have the gist of what the women here like. If your arms are too short to reach into your pocket to get your cash out - well then they will not "like you" booo hooo. If you can however pull out the euros greenbacks or shekels then WOW you are Brad Pitt. They will love you long time. Short or tall fat or skinny - just have money and to them you are pretty.

I know that the thread that I started is silly (maybe Pathetic).
I grew up in Midwest. Grewing up, almost every guy was taller than me. Honestly, it did affect me with relationships and self-esteem in my teens and early 20s.
Now in my thirties, it does not bother me or affect me as much (The feelings are not totally gone yet, but getting better). Even though I didn't inherit good genes in terms of height, I did inherit good genes in terms of aging and health. Now, I have much better outlook on life compare to when I was (chronologically) younger.
At my age now, it seems that women are much more attracted to me compare to when I was youger. But most of them, have not taken good care of themselves (overweight, bad aging etcs.). So that's why, I want a better deal. I want women in their 30s/20s but ones who have taken good care of themselves like I have.
I am hoping, that in DR women will like me for who I am, not for my money.

The best thing to do is bottle all those emotions up.
Do not share them with anybody.

Women here will like you for who you are - a foreigner with some cash.

Maybe whilst you were taking good care of your body you forgot to take good care of your mind.

I don't know if this ever crossed anyone's list, but here is the reality.

1. Assuming one is not seeking a Leon, Ortega, Brugal, etc., for which of this one basically has NO shot.

Than it holds true that:

2. You are left with a type of woman whom, more or less, will establish feelings for you based on the following criteria:

1) Ability to dance (salsa, merengue and bachata)
2) High standards of "intimate" performance
3) Your wallet
4) Papers

It follows, that 3 and 4, above, have the ability to override #s 1 and 2 respectively, but one can expect a complete lack of true love or emotion, fidelity, etc. This can be argued, however, since "passion" for money is a prevailing emotion.

That said, most middle to lower class Dominican women seem to be crazy for even the most ugly men if they can be compensated by #s 1 and 2 above.

Considering that 75% of Dominican men cheat (today's news, lol), that doesn't seem to be deterring the women.

In conclusion, one who can apply himself to #s 1 and 2 above at an advanced level, can Trump #s 3 and 4 - no questions asked!

Mr Midwestern the girls here in the DR are wonderful. They will take care of you and make you forget all about being short and unloved. You have cash and they will make you feel erect and taller and loved. Thats all that counts.
