NIKKI BEACH is open again? Just clicked on the link and saw most of the "events" were at NIKKI BEACH.

I visited Sosua today to see what all the superior attractions this town holds that sometimes leave people both breathless with excitement and exhausted at the same time. This is what i noticed (I should point out that i'm a professional girl watcher so don't try this at home.)

1. During the daytime, if you chew enough Viagra, and you look at the girls just right--at a 45 degree angle like dogs sometimes do--you can see a halo that guardian angels like to wear on top of their heads. They're stacked on some of the girls heads like pancakes--one on top of another. But then i realized, no...this is not an Angel Halo. On the contrary, these are plastic Tiara's with fake jewels glued to them--like my 5 year old daughter wears around the house.

2. If you consume enough rum, chew several Viagras, and then stare directly into the sun, some of these girls actually look like super models. No, i'm not kidding. I thought i saw Tom Brady's wife walk past...but then i realized it was a really attractive drag queen.

3. If you consume enough rum, chew enough Viagra, and stare directly into the sun long enough, and spin around as fast as you can until you begin to projectile vomit, the drag queens began looking stunning.

Some drag queens just walked in...i got to go!

I have never been but in my reading I have learned that the locals in DR are very conservative and do not give drag queens, ect a free pass. in other words, they do not put up with that kind of thing............is my research mistaken?

There are two sides to Sosua. I don't wish to sound judgmental, but there is a "seedy" side, and then another side that many residents and most visitors do not know.

Within Sosua are luxury complexes with very private beaches, exclusive amenities, and none of what has been described above. Not every visitor to the DR wants- or can afford- this type of living. I respect that.

But, just to give some balance and honesty to all the above posts, it needs to be noted.

I felt Cabarete was for the younger crowd who likes to hang out on the beach, both day and night, for sports and fun.
Sosua is more sex and booze in town, with an older community. Also, lots of money and retirees.
