Cabarete -- Banana Boat Hotel open?

Hi, is the Banana Boat Hotel in Cabarete open or closed? I called their number and it is now the phone # of a private residence.

Never heard of it - and we've lived here for over 2 years!

It is a small hotel on the other side of the road, just about in the center. It is close to the fuji film place... and the name is written on an old surfboard - hard to see. It is a real budget place (if it still exists) but clean. No, I do not know if it still exists...

The original banana boat has been torn down, there is a new little castle being built there, is still under construction, mabe someone knows how close to completion it is! Lucy
