Default Detour Near Nagua

I will be driving from Santo Domingo to Samana early next month. Someone told me that there is a detour on the route because the Nagua bridge is out. Can anyone give me an indication of where to make the detour before getting to Nagua? I understand that it is not marked very well. Thank you.

Cool Not much of a Detour now.

When the bridge first washed out several months ago, traffic was routed the back way through Villa Riva and the rice fields. A temporary bridge was built in place right beside the old one and the detour is nothing more than a jog in the road. The new bridge should be in operation very soon as it is a very small bridge that won't require a lot of construction.

I know I sent you this info but I want everyone else on the forum to know there isn't a problem anymore.

Default Thanks Andy, that was thoughtful of you

I just asked some people that were going over there this past sunday to report on the road conditions.
Glad to hear that it is better now...

Got to get out that way..

HB
Regards to Nicole
